Thanks Barbara – I was lucky, then all of a sudden there was a goose head like a periscope in the reeds. 🙂

Silly goose!

Zazzy, you know “silly” would have been a better word than “sneaky” and all of a sudden, there was this goose, rising out of the reeds like a periscope!

BOTH geese wanted to gett into the action!

You’re right Laurie – all of a sudden the second goose popped out of the reeds like a periscope surveying the situation. It was funny and I’m glad I got that second shot!

Great photo, but aren’t all geese sneaky by nature? 😁

Thanks Ally – I agree that geese are sneaky – maybe that is why the phrase “to goose someone” exists. 🙂

They may be messy but they are such a beautiful bird!

Well, I think someone shot that third goose and had it for Sunday dinner!

Animals do great photobombing and have funny expressions that make you chuckle!

Yes they do! That series of squirrels shots I posted recently (looking like a gunfight at the O.K. Corral and the squirrel splooting, also from that group but a separate post) … I took the photos in a hurry as they made a beeline for the peanuts and at the time I never noticed their expressions or their stance until I saw the photos on the computer screen. Animals/birds move so quickly sometimes – sometimes it’s a fun surprise later.

“Strolling around SE Michigan and sending joy in the journey”. First time I noticed your subtitle, Linda. I like it!

Thank you Dave! I added that subtitle when I saw and photographed a painted rock that had the words “sending joy in the journey” written on it. Ruth, a fellow blogger from Michigan, suggested I use that message on my site, so I did.
