Thank you Anne. I had to smile when I saw that dove and the sign. 🙂

I bet it’s packing heat under those feathers!

I’m glad to be back in my old home with my mourning doves as security guards!

Well TD, a few handfuls of cracked corn everyday and they will be your security guards for life!

Haha! Very funny. I agree, though, that security guard could be bribed pretty easily.

I agree Janis – the security guard is easy to please and has no scruples!

Now I want a guard dove! 🙂

I’d like one too Laurie – something soft and gentle instead of a plain-ol’ surveillance camera. 🙂

Hiring a Mourning Dove as a security guard is for the birds.

Tom, I wish I had thought of that line. 🙂

Who needs “24 Hour Video Surveillance” when you already have a dove marching back and forth on top of the wall? Doves see everything. Or at least, I’d like to believe they see everything… and then let people know when they do 🙂

That is true – a feathered guardian of the gates. Doves are very vocal – I agree with you Dave. I had a pair in my yard that used to coo every morning very early and I didn’t need an alarm clock. 🙂

Cute. You can never have too much security!

Thanks Ally – I was lucky to be in the right place at the right time for this Dove masquerading as the guardian of the gates.

Mourning Doves are cute but a security Mourning Dove is adorable!

A guard dove. I love it! I wonder if he and his friends hang out at a Dove Bar after they end their shifts.

Ha ha – yes, a Dove Bar of course, never a dive bar for these gentle creatures. 🙂
