Thanks Brian! That ratio is tough for these feathered friends. 🙂

Very cute, Linda. 👏

Thanks Pepper – I wish I could have gotten all three ducks in one photo, but they were too small then. I kind of felt like an intruder on the scene. 🙂

Understandable. If it is uncomfortable, better to walk away. 😉

Love the blue stripe!

Yes, it sets off her rather drab brown plumage doesn’t it?

Yes it does.

Hi Ann Marie – was this at your pond where you live?

Duck speed dating? 😆 Great closeups, as always!

Ha ha – that would have been a great title! Thanks Debbie. I also had a picture with all three of them, but decided to use these two pics instead.

Aww, so cute, Linda. I wonder who is picked?

Thanks Terri! The three of them were gazing so intently at one another that I felt like I was intruding on them. 🙂

They look so very calm and relaxed. People who hunt ducks are heartless and demonic.

Yes, the do look calm and relaxed Tom. I had another picture of the three of them gazing at one another, but it wasn’t as close up, so I left it out. I really don’t understand the Detroit River International Wildlife Refuge allowing duck hunting on their grounds. That really puzzles me. We just had some severe weather blow through here … the watch is still up until 10:00 p.m. – at least it lowered the temps 15 degrees. I’m sure you had the same storm in Illinois first.

Thanks Susan! They were gazing in one another’s eyes so intently – it was very cute, but too bad it was odd man out. 🙂

It’s like you have two models of ducks; one with feet, one without 😉

Ha ha – yes, one plopped down on the fallen tree and the other was standing while intently watching the female duck. I should have included the three of them gazing intently at each other, but that picture was not as close-up as these were. Those bright-orange legs and feet must get tired after a while. 🙂

asking for a friend – hahaha – lol – and both photos have such “balance and harmony” with colors and subjects – great choices for a WW

Thanks Yvette – they all were gazing at each other so intently, I felt like an intruder on the scene. 🙂 I had a picture of the three of them but it was far away so I just used the closeups which seems to say it all.

♥ – yes – the close ups say it all –
