…. may be happening, but, the lack of frozen precip on sidewalks and roads makes all well in the walking world. I’m making steady progress with only 50 more miles to go until I get to 700 miles; then I rest on my laurels and end 2015. Rain spoiled my Tuesday morning, but it wasn’t ice and snow, so I’ll take a glass-half-full attitude these days. The sun is pokey getting up and this morning it didn’t even bother to rise and shine. I did though and piling on all the extra clothes had me scurrying out the door later than I’d like. As to frozen lips, well … I guess I don’t really need to crack a smile and can just mumble good morning if someone, other than a squirrel, crosses my path and wants to communicate with me. The frozen fingers aren’t so wonderful if you’re trying to take a picture though. I toted along the camera today, even though the sky was dark and dreary looking , but I made the Detroit River at Emmons and Biddle my destination, so who knows what I might have seen down there? As it turns out – there was nothing. There’s not much allure on the water in Michigan come December, even a mild one like what we are enjoying. I saw more homeowners have added Christmas critters to their front yards and the strings of miniature lights that were still lit twinkled brightly like stars in the gray sky … they were like mini beacons beckoning me to keep going and persevere, so feet don’t fail me now.

I wish I could say I did take that picture Marge – and you give me an idea because right at the border of Lincoln Park and Wyandotte is a huge evergreen. It smells soooooo good whenever I pass by when it has rained or it is very humid out. I will take an up-close pic of it, next time there is “frosting” on it. I’m liking the mild weather – the fog not so much.

P.S. – I think I can get to 700 miles if the weather cooperates, so fingers crossed! It is only December 5th so it looks promising.

Miss Linda…………………….I am pondering Mr. /Washinton’s quote still………….something to think about……………………………….does anyone in our modern age come up with some profound quotes or do we have to wait till were very old to hear about some modern quotes…….?

You raise an interesting point Ann Marie – I don’t see many quotes by living people – I used to like the quotes by Maya Angelou and often used them, but she recently passed away … there are the occasional Oprah Winfrey or Bill Gates’ quotes, but that is about all. I will find some more current ones for you – maybe a few for the Christmas season.
