I think if we tried this Kate, we would end up permanently in a pretzel shape!

That itch had to be scratched!
I’ve watched birds of all sizes scratch around their head and eyes; and I think, how do they not poke their eye out??!!! 😉

I often wonder the same thing Donna – this big webbed foot was dangerously close to its head – yikes!

Not a very flattering pose for the goose. If it had known you were taking a photo, it would have stood up straight and smiled. 🙂
LikeLiked by 1 person
No, it isn’t very flattering at all – I’m sure it would have liked to look right at me, like that swan did in my last post. Staring, like it never saw a human. 🙂 There was a photo on social media tonight of three deer riding down the Detroit River on an ice floe. It was taken March 2nd. An ice fisherman said he couldn’t believe his eyes, but the deer around here do swim to get from point A to point B sometimes.

Great catch, Linda! Tweetie, one of the parrots, likes to scratch the back of her head with one foot. It’s very cute to see!
Some warm weather is on the way. Because some warm weather is coming, i have a shipment of beautiful Forktail Rainbowfish coming in. I’m going to try to breed them to get babies.

Thanks Tom! I’ve seen songbirds as well as my own parakeets and canaries scratch their head using their foot and it made me cringe as I was thinking “watch those toenails!” Parrots have big feet, so I’ll bet it is cute to see. Yes, warm weather is finally coming – almost 70 tomorrow and again Monday. I hope you are a successful “fish dad”. We had a tornado touch down in the western part of the state this afternoon. There was a lot of damage. I understand our dense fog may help us out as to the severe weather tonight and tomorrow – fingers crossed they are right.

I saw some of the tornado damage on the evening news. It’s rather frightening. Global warming is a contributing factor.

Some of that drone footage of the affected areas was frightening. I saw a canoe in a tree and someone reported their mail inside their home was blown 17 miles away. The debris in the area as it was churning was amazing. I have since learned that there actually three tornadoes, not one as originally thought. Global warming – sigh. I didn’t care for this bad Winter, but the thought of our Summer being hotter than last year (per my favorite meteorologist/climatologist) means more severe weather outbreaks.

Who knew webbed feet are so versatile?

Yes, they’re great for reaching almost any part of your body, that is if you are a contortionist. 🙂

Yes. 🙂 I’m sure if it knew I used such an unflattering pose, it would have flew to the other side of the canal!

When I first looked at the picture, I thought the stick was his leg that was detached! Lol
LikeLiked by 1 person
Yes, that angle I took it from did look like that stick near him could be a leg. 🙂 That big webbed foot was precariously close to its eye!

Yes they need to be careful with their big feet !

Yes – those big feet could take out an eye (or an ear if a goose has ears under those feathers). 🙂
