BADGES
Cute. I wonder how it is that this idea isn’t a thing?

Thanks Ally – it is not really my usual type of post but I thought I’d try something different for Wordless Wednesday. I got the idea since I had all these up-close shots of the zombies. If it works for them …

HA! So funny! I have never zoomed, so I’m envious of them….

I have never zoomed either — I had seen pictures on social media, so I had to find a picture to make it look like Zooming. I figured this was an unusual year, so I’d do it just this once, but, at the rate we are going, we may be Zooming next Halloween too.

I’m worried about everything these days, the pandemic, the election results etc etc. Which way do you think MI will go?

I know – our stats are spiking, both cases and deaths and warnings galore. I am glad I am done with grocery shopping. Next week I have to go to the allergist for a once/year visit to check if shots are working out, etc. (I’ve been on shots since 1975 except when they said I could go off and the allergies came back so back on the shots again) and the furnace guy for a check-up, then hope to not have any interaction. They are concerned here about Thanksgiving and encouraging people not to have dinner except for the immediate family. I am worried about the election as well and right now both candidates have been here every day personally or a member of their family. On Saturday Obama comes in with Biden. Last time Trump took Michigan. I think Biden will take Michigan because he has insulted our Governor and treated her shabbily, however, his base and many other people think our Governor overstepped her bounds with excessive restrictions … okay, so you have less restrictions now and look where we are. We have a big rivalry football game this weekend … it is termed the “backyard brawl” … no one can attend nor tailgate for these two Michigan teams, but the Governor was begging people not to gather at bars or with friends to watch the game – watch it at home with your family. That’s not going to happen sadly.

No one cares about football here, but I know it’s a big deal in the US. Our stats are good here so far, but not in the Toronto area, averaging 800 cases daily in Ontario, mostly younger people though, so fewer deaths. Most people I know had a quiet Thanksgiving with only immediate family or a very small number of guests in their bubble. I hope your furnace check up goes better than mine did with it’s five visits!

This rivalry game today was on the news all day today and tomorrow, my all-news station will preempt programming on the radio and streaming too, for the game. Both radio news stations will cover it – one news station for MSU; my station for U of M. They have the pre-game at 9:00 a.m.; game at noon and then hash out the post-game coverage probably from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.! Maybe it’s good I can’t hear the news all those hours. We had a big spike in cases and deaths both yesterday and today and on the news nationwide they said we had 90,000 new cases yesterday which was more than the pandemic on its worst day last Spring. I hope it is a seamless visit too Joni – last New Year’s Eve I had a new circuit board and motor inducer put in so hopefully it is fine … in May, over Memorial Day weekend, I turned the A/C on and it wouldn’t start and had to have them out on Memorial Day, then a regular visit in early August (they were behind on check-ups due to COVID). It is always something!

I decided to try something different since I think Zoom calls may not be a thing this time next year (hopeful anyway). And I had a lot of weird faces I collected on one of my strolls. A face only a mother could love. 🙂

I admit they are not my usual type of photos, but decided since 2020 has broken all other barriers, I would try something new (just this once). These are faces only a mother could love.

I thought so too – I had some more monsters and was going to just call it “Ghouls and Gals” but decided for 2020 this worked. Hopefully it does not work for 2021 too although I think nothing will be too normal in 2021 either.

Hi Linda.
I find them also scary. Thank you showing them.
Have a good day!

Thanks Matti … it is not my usual type of post but I did it because 2020 is not your usual type of year – I do not know how to do a Zoom call, so I had to look up examples on the internet. Have a good day tomorrow.

up until 6 months ago I had never heard of Zoom?
A scary mask has to always have big nasty teeth!

I had not heard of it either Wayne – I hope I never have to use it as it sounds a bit confusing. Yes, those teeth are horrible – always nasty teeth – think Red Riding Hood and the big bad wolf. They look pretty scary, especially the werewolf!

now If red Riding Hood shows up with big nasty teeth I’m moving!

The original fairy tale was tamer than the 2020 tale I’m sure!
